Free Career Assistance Services for ARMA Members
Many of us are struggling in these challenging economic times. We all know records management professionals who have recently lost their jobs, or whose employer is feeling the pinch. If you are one of those whose job is at risk, are you also aware of a service called, "ARMA International's CareerLink Resume Database & Job Search"? It's available free to ARMA members.
ARMA members can post detailed information about themselves and their work experience, as well as post their resumes. Prospective employers can post job openings and search the database for eligible candidates.
To use the service, first go to http://www.arma.org/careers/index.cfm. Check out the links available for individuals. You can:
- Review information about Career Services
- Post your resume (login required)
- Search for jobs (login required)
The first time you try to access those services requiring a login, you'll need to register with a user name and password. From then on, just use that login information whenever you visit the site.
Visit the site often; new job openings are posted on a regular basis.
Remember to periodically update your information – and your resume – when things change (i.e., you master new job skills, obtain certifications, etc.).
Good luck!
